Getting a new business off the ground can be difficult even in the best of times, let alone during an economic downturn. While the barriers to entry to open source Web development may seem low, starting and growing a service-based business can actually be quite complicated.
In this session, I’ll provide some tips and tricks for those looking to build their own Drupal-oriented Web development business. Topics to be covered will include developing a business model, finding partners and employees, promoting your work and interacting with the community, dealing with contracts and other legal matters, and advice on dealing with both good and bad clients.
